Recreational program Details

Centennial Soccer Club Summer Recreational soccer program is open to boys and girls of all levels of ability who will be entering Kindergarten-5th grade in the Fall. We strive to provide an environment of wholesome, competitive fun, developing good character and sportsmanship, team play, and an education in the rules and skills of soccer.

All players over the course of the season will have equal playing time and can expect to play every position. Goalkeepers introduced at the 2/3 grade level. Teams are formed by age, some gender specific, some co-ed.

For kids who are entering grades K-5 in the Fall.

Season Dates

June 9th through August 4th, 2024 - No soccer June 19, July 3 & 7.

What does rec soccer focus on?

Practice time has a focus on age appropriate training that will include ball control, dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and teaching the basics of the game. Game time involves all players playing equally and playing all positions on the field. Each week, one night will be training and one night will be games.

What to bring

Bring a soccer ball. Grades K/1 size 3, Grades 2-5 size 4.
Wear cleats
Wear shin guards (underneath soccer socks)
Bring plenty of water
Any weather specific gear based on conditions

Players will receive a Centennial SC jersey at the start of the season.

Volunteer Coaches needed!

All sessions are led by volunteer coaches. Please consider volunteering. All coaches get a free season for their son or daughter! Please indicate T-shirt size when registering. Curriculum will be provided.

SPRING/SUMMER REC Kick-off

Sunday June 9. Time TBD. Meet your team and your Coach and receive your Shirt!

Location

Rice Lake Elementary - southeast soccer fields

schedule

Practices and games will be 1 hour long.
Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings
Specific team schedules will be posted on team pages.

Cost

$150 for the season.

Communication

Each Rec team will have a team specific page on the SportsEngine (SE) App. Your team page will include your schedule, field info, roster, team chat, and more! More info will be sent out on this prior to the beginning of the season.
